Before going to India I had heard the traffic was bad, but I really didn’t know what to expect until I got there. The roads in India were WAY more challenging to navigate than I ever imagined! Not only did they drive on the other side of the road (read more about that here), but the lanes were crowded like I had never seen. We decided driving wasn’t really in the cards for us, so we hired a driver from Castle and King.

Typically, I recommend getting a rental car as an easy way to get around, but this is an exception. Use the following options to get around:
Get around town
- Tuk-tuk
- Taxi
- Pedi-cabs
Get from city to city
- Hire a driver
- Trains
I could continue by describing all of the things I saw on the roads in India, but I think photos will tell the story better. The featured image shows a three-lane road being used as way more than three lanes. Here are some of the noteworthy things we saw on the roads in India! Let me know what you think in the comments!
